Premier Cup 2013

Carlsbad Lightning Soccer is proud to host the 4th annual 'Premier Cup' competitive soccer tournament for both boys & girls teams aged U12 to U14. The tournament will be played over the weekend of February 2nd & 3rd, 2013, and is only for teams playing in the National State Cup, acting as the perfect warm-up tournament in terms of facilities, standard, and time frame.

All games will be played rain or shine on our excellent turf fields, all located within 10 minutes of each other in the Carlsbad area.

For those teams planning to join us from outside the area, Carlsbad is recognized as one of southern California's most temperate and beautiful coastal towns with access to some of the finest beaches in the state. In addition, you're only minutes from San Diego attractions such as Legoland, the world famous San Diego Zoo, and Sea World as well as plenty of great shopping at the Carlsbad Outlet Mall and nearby Del Mar and La Jolla. Two world-class resorts, The Four Seasons at Aviara and The La Costa Resort and Spa are also located close to most field sites.

About Games

Each team will play a minimum of 3 games. Preliminary Games can end in a tie. Quarter Final games ending in a tie after regulation will proceed immediately to FIFA penalty kicks to determine who advances to the Semi Finals. Semi Finals and Finals games tied after regulation will go straight to FIFA Penalty Kicks. The winner of the kicks will determine who advances or is awarded the trophy. Penalty Kicks will immediately follow the game.

All games are 30 mins per half.

Things to remember about game day:

- Make it easy on yourself and bring along Field directions
- Check-in your team with the Field Marshals 30 minutes before each game
- Check for last minute schedule changes on this website
- Please print and read the tournament rules
- All Coaches must have the following items at each game: A white, laminated Team Administrator/Coaches card
